Easy yoghurt flatbread

Ingredients:

1 cup Greek yoghurt (make sure it is locally produced)
1 ½ cup self-raising flour
1 tablespoon olive oil

Optional topping – garlic butter
2 tablespoons unsalted butter (make sure it is locally produced)
2 cloves garlic, minced

Method

  1. In a small bowl, lightly stir the Greek yogurt. Add in 1 cup of flour and stir well.
  2. Slowly add in more flour until a dough ball is formed.
  3. Place the dough onto a well-floured surface and knead for 2 minutes. If the dough is to sticky add in more flour and knead again. The dough is ready when it holds it shape and doesn’t stick to your hands or the surface.
  4. Divide the dough into 6 even parts. Lightly grease your surface with olive oil and roll each ball out into rounds the size of a saucer.
  5. Heat a frying pan and add in flatbread and cook each side for 20-30 seconds until cooked through and dough has brown spots.
  6. If using the optional garlic butter – mix butter and garlic together and brush on top of the flatbread immediately after being cooked.
  7. Serve warm, cold or freeze.
