Sugar cookies
Ingredients:
1 cup butter, softened
1 ½ cups white sugar
2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 egg
Method:
- Heat the oven to 190℃.
- Mix the flour, baking soda, and baking powder together with a wooden spoon.
- Beat the butter and sugar together until smooth. Next, beat in the egg and vanilla.
- Gradually add in the flour mixture and beat until well combined.
- Roll the dough into balls the size of walnuts and place them 5cm apart on prepared baking trays. Bake for 8-10 mins.
- Leave to cool on the trays for a few mins, then transfer to a cooling rack to cool completely.
